“It was an absolute pleasure to learn with Judie from the very beginning. From my first lesson, it was clear that her priority was not simply teaching me how to pass the test, but teaching me how to be a safe, confident and responsible driver.

One piece of advice that has really stayed with me is: “No one is your friend on the road.” In other words, never assume what another driver, cyclist or pedestrian is going to do, and always pay extra attention even when everything seems fine. It’s something I still hear in my head when I’m driving!

Patience was definitely key throughout my learning journey, and Judie had plenty of it. She always took the time to answer my questions, explain things clearly and help me understand the reasoning behind what I was doing rather than simply telling me what to do. Her calm way of communicating helped me relax, think clearly and make better decisions behind the wheel.

She also knows when a little humour is needed! We had plenty of laughs during our lessons, which really helped break the ice and calm my nerves — something that makes such a difference when you’re new to driving or feeling under pressure.

What I appreciated most is that Judie helped me build genuine confidence on the road. I recently passed my driving test, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything she taught me along the way. I came away with much more than a pass certificate — I feel I have the awareness, mindset and foundations to continue becoming a safe and confident driver.

She helps you form such a muscle memory of how to handle the car and anticipating your surroundings. Passing my test first time!
